ESNO World Café 2023

The European Specialist Nurses Organisation (ESNO) organized ESNO World Café 2023 (20th and 21st april) with 2 days’ event with stakeholders, private and public together with ESNO members, associates, discussing on European initiatives, programs and projects on health workforce, planning, forecast, shortage, skills, education of nurses. Prof Sermeus represented to the WHO CC HRH at ESNO World Café to discus on Health Workforce and Nurse Shortage.

Presentation at International Health Sciences Congress

Dr. Sule Kurt did a presentation about Universal Healh Coverage 2030 aims and nursing education in session of “Health Policy” at International Health Sciencies Congress in Trabzon, Turkiye on between 2nd and 6th May, 2023. International Coordination Action and FWO were gotten credit end of the presentation to enhance international collaboration. We are continuing of our cooperation with the Nursing and Midwifery departments of universities in Turkiye.

Following April events on ESNO World Café to discus on Health Workforce and Nurse Shortage. The European Specialist Nurses Organisation (ESNO) Conference was held in Brussels 8th and 9th June 2023. Dr. Sule Kurt made a presentation on Advanced Clinical Activities Among Nurses in WHO/Europe Member States.

Round Table with nurses and academics from Croatia, Belgium, Netherlands and Spain

Dr. Sule Kurt attended a round table with nurses and academics from Croatia, Belgium, Netherlands and Spain on 9 June 2023. The attendees discussed for a proposal on nurses and working in mental health to the European Commission. In addition, the outcomes of the discussions during the ESNO Congress of 8 and 9 June 2023 are embedded in the report of ESNO World Café 2023 . During the ESNO World Café 2023, a comprehensive report was prepared to offer recommendations to the policy makers both at national and European levels.

First national level and in person meeting

First national level and in person meeting was organized at SPF Santé Publique in Brussels on November 16th, 2023. The main aims of meeting were; to update about International Coordination Action of WHO CC of KU Leuven; to discuss “Terms of Reference” of Belgium WHO CCs for further strategies; to discuss accurate initiatives to enhance collaboration between WHO CCs and Belgian department of Public Health. We had supportive, enthusiastic and good support for this International Coordination Action (IC-A). The group discussed about further initiatives to increase awareness of healthcare workers needs in Belgium and beyond of Pan-European levels.
